56 Rounds Road is a magical place summer or winter. Our grandchildren call it the “Mountain House”. Our Mountain house has been the hub of gatherings for our family and friends for the last seven years. Everyone who visits love our mountain side location which is great for sledding in the winter and hiking in the summer. Our guests are always amazed that they have a view of 10 mile range from every room in the house. Our grandkids especially enjoy the bunk beds that were built in just for them, complete with usb ports for their favorite electronic gadget, lamps and privacy curtains or doors. The layout of the house has provided our family the ability to have time with adults in the great room while the kids hang out on the lower level. We’ve had many fun times playing games with family and friends in the driveway in front of the house. We spend so much time there that we actually expanded the sound system to include the driveway so our favorite tunes can be enjoyed while playing games. When we are in the mountains our day typically begins with a cup of coffee in the office while we enjoy the fireplace and views up the mountain. Many times we’ve seen fox, coyotes, and moose wandering through the property. In the winters we typically head out early to the slopes to get some early runs in. We’re a quick 5 minute drive to the Gondola lot from our house. In the summers we typically hike up the mountain in the morning and follow the upper flume trail for a beautiful walk with views of Breckenridge and Lake Dillon. Our afternoons might include a quick drive 5 minute drive over to Breckenridge Golf course for a round of golf, a trip downtown to explore the many shops, or a hike on one of the many trails in the area. Our evenings often nclude happy hour on our deck or a trip into town to visit one of the many wonderful restaurants. Honestly though, you just can’t beat an evening on the deck enjoying the sunset over 10 mile range. There are so many special things about this home. Each guest bedroom is themed and decor in the room reflects the theme of the room. We have the Wildlife bedroom, the Winter sports bedroom and the Mining Bedroom. We even have a water fall in the foyer! The artwork throughout the home is absolutely beautiful and reflects the theme of the room. The kitchen is a cooks delight complete with a 6 burner gas cooktop as well as a grill. It also has 2 dishwashers which are great to have when a large group is visiting. We’ve had a great time entertaining in the great room using the bar area as the center of the gathering. All in all, we have spent so many special, memorable moments with family members and friends in “Mountain House.” This beautiful place will always hold a special place in our hearts.
